OK, using console=serial0,115200 seems to have done the trick? Testing further...

👀🤔 Oh joy, another tech blog where the author whines about time management while cramming onto a Raspberry Pi like a hipster at an artisanal jam fest. Because who needs functional gadgets when you can have bugs and beta bliss? 😂🙃

9 years ago I participated in OpenSource-dot-com's #PiDay series of articles about the #RaspberryPi computer. I wrote an article "How to secure your Raspberry Pi" which is still good advice for the hobbyist. It's a Linux computer. So there are lots of helpful resources. Keep security in mind - but prioritize to your situation to avoid getting overwhelmed. opensource.com/article/17/3/io #Maker #cybersecurity #Linux #OpenSource #software #engineering #tech

I use the Raspberry Pi - inexpensive, single-board computers about the size of a credit card - for a number of things, including home automation, simple computing, retro gaming, and a host of hobby projects.

What's your favorite RPi project?

Question for electronics folks: if I make a cheat sheet for the pinouts or popular dev boards, do you prefer separate figures for the Raspberr Pi Pico, Pico W, Pico 2, and Pico 2 W, or one generic one is enough, knowing that the pins are the same on all of them?

#Electronics #DIY #RaspberryPi #RpiPico

One generic figure
Four figures
One for Pico, one for Pico 2
One for Pico 1+2, one for Pico 1+2 W

A few weeks ago I made this little pomodoro timer for home work and it's helped out a lot with my mental and physical health by making me take breaks and moving rather than sitting at a desk all day.

I have different settings for timers and also a chill out mode that plays a calming gif and lofi tracks. Built with a pi zero and a pirate audio hat and some lines of python. Slow to boot but once running it's great.

I call it the pimodoro

After 3 months of desperately trying to keep Jellyfin up for more than 24h straight on a Rpi 4, my love affair with might be starting to wane…

(I'm not super happy about Jellyfin either, but given the lack of decent alternatives, it still beats nothing)

Welp, we may very well lose seriously the best #FOSS #NAS option we had, #TrueNAS at some point - maybe even soon. @geerlingguy@mastodon.social rightly mentioned that this smells a whole lot like the whole #RedHat/#CentOS debacle not that long ago. This sucks, but meh, I’m liking #OpenMediaVault more and more these days - prolly not as sophisticated, but certainly does the job and is super simple to setup (#RaspberryPi as first class citizen too).
