I made this little machine to water the tomato plants while I'm away on vacation. It uses a Raspberry Pi computer with an electric motor from the "camjam edukit 3". The Raspberry Pi runs a little python program to run the motor to get water flowing, then sleep a few seconds, then run the motor backwards to stop the water again. It works! 🎉

sudo apt install sg3-utils
Find the device: lsblk (e.g. /dev/sr0)
Wake it:
sudo sg_raw /dev/sr0 EA 00 00 00 00 00 01
Add a udev rule for auto-wake - create /etc/udev/rules.d/90-mac-superdrive.rules with the following:
ACTION=="add", ATTRS{idVendor}=="05ac", ATTRS{idProduct}=="1500", DRIVERS=="usb", \
RUN+="/usr/bin/sg_raw %r/sr%n EA 00 00 00 00 00 01"

After trying to laser cut the MK8 version case for my DIY Raspberry Pi tablet, I've moved on to design the MK9 version.
It's basically the MK5 version, but using tiny screws to fasten the side parts to the corner parts, instead of using zip ties (which work, but not as well).
To determine which hole size works best with the tiny screws, in both flat and upright print orientation, I made some L-shaped test parts with holes of various sizes.

Ich muss ca alle 2 Tage neu starten, weil das Netz weg ist. Für Kodi wär mir das halbwegs egal, aber da soll irgendwann noch was anderes drauf laufen.

Added a transpiler extension to my 32-bit ARM #forth dialect, it produces #llvm ir to get optimal speed on RPI 0 1.3, also transpile to #p5js.
Extension is small with ~400 lines of #arm, target code is defined in a dictionary as ASCII with char. to manage replacement/stack.
