So, I think I'm done with the documentation for installing #Previous on a #RaspberryPi (5). If you like, you are welcome to run through it and give me feedback on any errors or inconsistencies. I played through the process myself using this documentation and it worked for me. But that doesn't have to mean anything! Because there are a lot of things I might have taken for granted that I hadn't thought of.

Mit ner Dosen-Antenne den Empfang zum ca 300 Meter entfernten Wifi möglich gemacht. Das Signal im #raspberrypi reicht aus um per #hostapd ein neues Wifi aufzuspannen. Surfen im Web klappt 😎. Fürs Streamen ist der Durchsatz und Packet-loss zu hoch 😬.

I've been planning to migrate my #selfhosting #server to a new machine. It's been running on a small and fragile ARM-based computing solution, which travels alongside me and is mounted to the ceiling when I'm stationary. Currently, it's basically surviving on 2GB RAM with an aggressive zram configuration, and random outages occasionally corrupt the system. To scale up, I'm stuck between grabbing a #raspberrypi 5 (16/8GB) and an x86 #minipc with 16+GB RAM, i.e. bw portability and performance.

It's mostly just chilling on Ethernet, not doing much of anything yet.

I verified the Raspberry Pi OS Lite image I wrote to a microSD card, using dd, and consistently it's wrong at the same byte.
This is just for a test server, so... hope that byte is not important!
