Pironman 5 NAS case & kit turns a Raspberry Pi 5 into a dual-bay NAS

Sunfounder’s Pironman line of cases for the Raspberry Pi 5 do a lot more than cover up and protect the single-board computer. Models like the Pironman 5, Pironman 5-MAX, and Pironman 5-Mini also give you M.2 slots for additional storage, fans for cooling, and RGB lighting for… fun, I guess.

The upcoming Pironman 5 NAS is a little different though. It lacks the RGB lighting and clear acrylic […]

Update.

The AdaFruit tutorial is better than the other ones I have seen, but...

It turns out you don't need to do all the things you are told are needed, which often don't work, in order to set up and use virtual environments.

Just make an empty directory in your home directory, fire up Thonny, click the thing at the bottom right, tell it where your directory is, and it does it for you. Then you can go to that directory, and get the libraries you want with pip.

Setting up a mini datacenter in my home with miscellaneous #raspberrypi boards, so I can do lots of weird things, but then completely ignoring them because doing those things requires writing those things. But, hey, I can login and do package updates, so that's something.

After a bit of a mishap of closing the lift gate on the extended camera cable, I think I have the Pi cam mounted okay for this next trip. I need to figure out how to get the cable attached to things so I don't close the gate on it again.
Also need to get a lil rack or something so the Pi itself can stay cool ( it has a fan)
Not only is the tape that holds the Velcro® to the window strong but the Velcro® itself as well.

Up until now, most of my have been on Buster, where wifi was configured using dhcpcd and wpa_supplicant.
Now I'm using Bookmark, how do I configure WiFi to switch networks automatically if one drops?
I've seen nmcli and nmtui mentioned, but no proper information.

I have a load of older model #RaspberryPi that I no longer need.

Would hate to see them go to waste. So does anybody in the UK need Pi 1, Pi 2. Zero 1's?

I know I could list them on #eBay and make a quid or two - but the hassle? Unless I do a goody box filled with misc components and Misc pis.

I just have more than I need and I know I am not going to use them any more!

Lilbits: Google to block sideloading of apps from unverified developers

One of the things that has long set Android apart from iOS is that Android makes it fairly easy to install apps from sources other than Google’s official app store, providing users and developers with the opportunity to install apps that might not otherwise be available.  Apple, meanwhile, has offered more of a walled-garden approach that it says leads to better security and an improved user […]

Argon ONE UP: модульный ноутбук на Raspberry Pi CM5

Can't I just directly connect one of those PC 8-bit speakers that can just go "beep" to GPIO pins on an SBC? 🤨 Every search I do on this leads me to people wanting to use proper speakers, being told they need an amplifier etc.

I just want to make my OrangePi go beep. ._.
