Hey #RaspberryPi #HifiBerry

Is there anyone else here who has run #Upmpdcli as a music player, and made songcast (synchronous music player for multiple devices, non-Free) work?

Overall I'm pretty happy with it, even without songcast, as the Renderers are solid and remember your playlist - it's quite nicely done. But I really want that whole-house-and-garage audio.

I have managed to sort of get a songcast session going (the control point android app, BubbleDS, requires you to pay to keep it going more than 15 mins, but if it works, I don't mind). But I cannot seem to make it come out the speakers anywhere.

If anyone wants to mess around with this and needs a bit of help with compiling and building or setting up the apt repository, I can give a hand getting your Pi up and running, if you can maybe help me figure out songcast. Hit me up.

It's working very well!

I might need to find a better way to keep it cool, but in the mean time, this isn't too bad.

Overall, this setup and hardware are awesome. I think this might warrant a blog post soon 😎

🚀✨ "Breaking news: someone reinvented the TV remote of the 90s using a Raspberry Pi! 🎉 Because, you know, having no control over what trash '90s sitcom you watch next is the trip we’ve all been waiting for. 📺🕰️"

I'd like to slim down the profile of my #rpi by removing the network jack as well as the top layer usb ports. Is there a drop in solution where I can desolder the usb ports and swap it for a single stack, or any other neat solution where I dont have to break out the dremel?

Recently put #ubuntu on my esteemed M-in-L's Thinkpad T460 after her getting the #windows10 upgrade nags. Very pleased, especially as forgot to set her printer up but it found it on the network and works perfectly on its own. Now also using the fantastic #RustDesk for support which is self-hosted on an old #raspberrypi 3. #linux 🐧
