Tiktok has discovered Raspberry Pi based DIY cyberdecks. It's amazing and very inspiring, they are not only fusing it with whimsical and mermaid design styles, but also with tech politics of anti-surveillance, off-grid knowledge mirrors (incl. Wikipedia) and retro gaming.

My daily budget for my is 15000 Wh per day, I have enough panels to charge up that amount in my in 1 day's peak hour. That's enough to run my tiny and for 24 hours (plus a full day's backup of an extra 15000), with change left over for a few appliance. While normal desktop usage can only run for a few hours with the left over charge, I've found that a 4b can run for like 40 hours on 1 day's battery after AC and Fridge. Perfect!

Imager ignores all custom config for Raspberry Pi OS Lite (w/o desktop env) but doesn’t indicate it: wifi if locked, so no SSH as well. Logging in over UART also fails, because it doesn’t create your user and the default pi user is locked.

This should be in the docs. It isn’t.

Very. Frustrating.

Raspberry Pi 4 interrupt handling: gic400.library 1.1

The gic400.library makes the Arm GIC-400 interrupt controller of a Raspberry Pi 4 available under AmigaOS. It is designed to bundle interrupt logic that can then be used by various device drivers, such as genet.device. Changes in version 1.1:

Grr unlike any other #raspberrypi model, Pi400 can't do 1366x768.

Seems the 2711 hardware can't do odd timings due to the way they implemented dual display (which hardly anyone uses).
