AMIGAstore vuelve a sacudir el mercado con las principales novedades para sus teclados mecánicos, adelantadas en exclusiva en AmigaWave por su colaborador y desarrollador participante en el proyecto, Alberto (Lince), que se centran en la nueva controladora universal orientada a solucionar limitaciones históricas del hardware original entre otras y en un nuevo diseño completo de carcasa externa…
La nueva controladora ha sido completamente rediseñada y será compatible con todos los modelos Amiga, incluyendo A500, A1200, A2000, A3000, A4000, CDTV y equipos modernos como el X5000.
Incorpora conectividad USB, lo que permite usar el teclado como un dispositivo estándar en PC, Mac, MorphOS, Raspberry Pi u otros sistemas compatibles. Esta función se activa mediante jumpers.
El histórico problema del ghosting queda completamente resuelto. Este fallo, presente desde hace 40 años, impedía pulsar más de dos o tres teclas no modificadoras en la misma fila.
Con la nueva controladora, es posible pulsar multitud de teclas simultáneamente, una mejora clave para compositores que usan ProTracker o para jugadores que ahora podrán, por ejemplo, moverse en diagonal y disparar a la vez.
El teclado mecánico universal de AMIGAstore ha sido diseñado para encajar en todas las carcasas principales de Amiga: A500, A1200, A2000, A3000, A4000 y CDTV, con un único modelo que optimiza el soporte metálico.
Se han desarrollado además nuevas carcasas externas, incluyendo una versión blanca inspirada en el Amiga 4000 y un prototipo negro pensado para el CDTV o el X5000.
La carcasa cuenta con detalles cuidados como un ojal de goma 3D para la salida del cable entre otros.
AMIGAstore ofrecerá una estructura de compra modular, permitiendo adquirir por separado la controladora, los cables, los switches e incluso cada pieza del teclado.
Los usuarios del teclado mecánico anterior podrán comprar la nueva controladora suelta y actualizar su unidad actual.
Esta controladora mantiene el mismo factor de forma que la del Amiga 500, lo que la hace compatible con teclados originales (Mitsumi) del A500 y A4000, permitiendo mantener el teclado original y eliminar el ghosting simplemente sustituyendo la placa.
No será compatible con los Amiga 2000, cuyo teclado integra la membrana en la placa, por lo que en ese caso será necesario el teclado completo.
Quedan fuera de esta primera versión los modelos Amiga 600 y Amiga 1000, debido a sus disposiciones de teclado específicas.
El teclado para Amiga 600 será el siguiente en desarrollo, mientras que el del Amiga 1000 se abordará más adelante.

I was building the Adafruit 3D printed case for my #RaspberryPi 4 + HQ Camera.

I only have M3 and M2 standoffs / screws. It turns out the Pi uses M2.5 (!?!) - the M3s are too thick, and my M2s are too short.
Since I only need it to roughly hold together and not "rattle", needle and thread to the rescue!

I got my raspberry pi with rhasspy streaming my jellyfin music from my NAS so I have almost completely replaced the small number of ways I used to use a spying home assistant and I'm feeling pretty good about that. It's not perfect. Every time I use the wake word I think it hears itself beep too so it responds to me and also beeps like it couldn't understand lol. Haven't solved that yet. But it works!

My #smolweb #selfHosting question of the day:
I've got a firewall blocking IP ranges of the HTTPS harassment traffic I've been seeing. It's always ranges from Brazil, and the ancient Pi server never gets much over 7% CPU usage and 25% memory usage. I've got the firewall, changed the SSH port (not that that was being targeted, everything was 443), removed root, enforced password every time for sudo.
So aside from the annoyance of knowing the flickering light is them bouncing off the firewall, what more should I do? What are the risks? Is this just the price for running a tiny web server in 2025?
