Austin Pivarnik, meanwhile, lays claim to having the "world's most stable" #RaspberryPi - not in terms of it not crashing (though hopefully it doesn't crash), but in terms of minimising timing jitter... by keeping the CPU warm with cleverly-controlled busywork.

Right, strap in for a lengthy thread 'cos I've got late-running #Hackster articles from yesterday plus a bunch from today to talk about - starting with a shiny new #RaspberryPi Imager, which comes with a handy wizard so it's not so confusing to find which operating systems go with which boards any more.

I prefer xz compressed images over the default gz one
Yes, you can write that image via Pi Imager.

I setup my Forgejo instance on my VPS but thinking about it now, I should’ve set it up on my Raspberry Pi at home. The Pi is idling a lot and as I’m the only user of the instance - and mostly mirror repos there - it makes sense to run it in house (literally in my living room).
