I had the idea of #diy giant googly eyes for the bushes in front of my house. They look like a giant green caterpillar.

I envision a camera based system to control it that will identify pedestrians and cause the googly eyes to track them as they walk past.

I'm looking for ideas on how to do this?

My thought is to use some plastic clocks to make the eyes. I can mount the black pupil/iris such that it can be spun like the hand of a clock.

Maybe a servo motor?
A #raspberrypi w camera?
Hmm.

I'm starting to get really proud of this little side project! Now that my #blockchain has finished syncing, I've been coding the worker side of my #Bitcoin node for Solo Miners distro. It is out-of-the-box ready to accept hashes from #Bitaxe and #NerdMiner devices, and of course you can point more powerful #ASIC at it as well. My goal is to provide a Bitcoin Blockchain node for #RaspberryPi that any solo miner can use, reducing the learning curve and helping decentralize the blockchain.
