Raspberry Pi

A relatively underwhelming ARM development board to begin with that was upgraded to a very reasonably performing quad-core CPU in February 2015 and got built-in Wi-Fi in February 2(...)

How-To Geek: Pi-hole just became much faster and added a few new features. “Pi-hole just dropped a triple update, releasing FTL v6.4, Web v6.4, and Core v6.3. If you run Pi-hole on an older Raspberry Pi or a container that’s already pushing its limits, you’ll be happy to see these changes focus heavily on making the backend snappier and more efficient.”

Auracast is interesting because not only it enables for scenarios in home settings (shared movies without disturbing others), it can be used for better by broadcasting to all willing hearing aids on tours or lectures, there is no upper limit on how many people can tune in.

And we're good. Proof of concept is operational.

Hardware: #RaspberryPi 5 4Gb, cooler, X1004 hat, spare 480Gb M.2 stick, P579 case, #Geekworm PSU. Under $200.

Software: Latest Pi OS Lite and some SSH config work. On my Mac, a bunch of #zsh shell scripts wrapped with #Platypus.

Achieved: on-demand sync of all my important #Mac folders (about 150Gb) with 1 click. Now the first sync is done, each sync only takes a minute. Zillion times faster than #syncthing on my #Diskstations.

End of thread.

* allarme che si attiva ogni giorno;
* allarme che si attiva solo i giorni feriali;
