Just published my DIY integration for the Tecalor THZ 5.5 Eco heat pump 👨🔧
➡️ USB → Raspberry Pi → ser2net → AppDaemon → MQTT → Home Assistant
No cloud, no vendor lock-in.
It can even replace the ISG gateway for basic read access.
Fair warning: the code is a bit messy — written while debugging real issues with the heat pump and learning along the way 😅
But it works and might help others in the same situation.
