I'm quite frustrated with my #HPC IT.
I have a ticket open for about a year now. They have finally found a fix.
I try to implement the fix, and notice that they must have installed their #Python packages in such an esoteric way, that I cannot even guess how.
It's not the first time I get an answer that raises more questions.
Sometimes they want a conda install, sometimes conda is the devil.
It would really help if they would give clear answers and instructions, that would also reduce their work because I wouldn't need to ask for clarification.

I’ve been working on a Ham Radio propagation bot for Discord and I’m thinking of expanding it into a Bluesky + Mastodon bot too. It would auto-post updated radio conditions every ~30 minutes on a dedicated bot account after I finish the GOES X-Ray charts

Many of you may know that the #PSF had to pause its grants program this year, affecting many small, under-resourced communities that rely on it heavily.
One such community is @PyConNA, PyCon Namibia. I've been attending their conference for a few years and am always impressed by the impact of the work done there.

@adamsteer I co-wrote a paper using quarto which had #R and #python. The upside is that it straightforward and the quality of the output was excellent, the downside was it wasn't interactive in the same way that Juypiter is.
(Then again, I code in python using the #Emacs inferior-mode interactive REPL (Read Execute Print Loop). So either I am the keeper of deep arcane knowledge or a hermit with limited want to interact with others...)
