🐍💸 In a worthy of a daytime , the turned down $1.5M because apparently, reading the fine print is just too mainstream. What's next, a Kickstarter for teaching the PSF to say "yes" to money? 😂📉

Taking a stab at again today on my "Occult Bookstore" text-adventure project. It still needs a lot of balance to get a progression of obstacle and reward. Redoing the main stories to even things out.

Changelog so far today:
- Overhaul of experimentation system, specialized research types
- Overhaul of Tarot, new "Prophecy" subsystem, tarot card images (thanks Wiki)
- 5 new spell words, 12 new spells

Instead of using that "for" loop, we could use Python's in operator on our iterable

New video - finding the magnetic field due to a loop of current. No tricks in this derivation - but I do it again with (you probably knew that).

Nathan Goldbaum is part of the Quansight Labs team that's been doing a *huge* amount of work getting the ecosystem ready for free-threaded Python.

Here he shares some of his favourite resources to learn about free-threaded Python:

I have nothing but respect and sympathy for @ThePSF in their decision to withdraw from the NSF grant program in order not to compromise on their mission to keep #Python a diverse and welcoming open source community.

It's hard as hell to turn down that kind of money.

So, here's my .02c for it, metaphorically. I'll personally make a $1000 donation to help fill in that gap. There are certainly 1500 of us who can spare that much, in the global python community. Who's with me?
