Good day fedizens! I'm standing up a single-user #Peertube instance & looking at the options for the instance *itself* following other instances vs my user following instances. Is there a guide to how/when this is the proper thing to do? I've already added a couple but now I'm wondering if this is the Right Way(TM).
If you upload a video to #PeerTube and spot a mistake in it after publication, don't panic!
You may be able to replace the video file without breaking existing links or comments:
1. Log into your PeerTube server's website
2. Go to "Videos"
3. Click "Update" on video to correct
4. Click "Advanced Settings" tab
5. Under "Replace Video File" click "Select file", choose corrected video file
6. Click "Update"
If you don't see this option, ask your PeerTube server admin as they can activate it.

Це як раз та причина, чому я не користуюсь #PeerTube: все що я дивлюсь буде відомо усім моїм пірам. Це нівелює фактор приватності, а якщо це діло почати обгортати в різні меші то ну його нафіг я скажу...
Мені вистачило побаченого в #libtorrent (C) та #librqbit (Rust) щоб зробити висновки. Ось є пара браузерів для того ж Gemini, де контент зберігається торентами і потім комусь розсилається, короче фіг його знає, торенти - це складно, а все що складно - діряво.
Вже бляха думав перейти на суворий FTP, але й там докопався до потенційно можливих вихідних з'єднань в активних/пасивних режимах, коли клієнт може технічно запитати в 21 порта конект на інших хост.
Me demande dans quelle mesure c'est safe ou risqué d'installer des outils dépendants de npm sans trop savoir où on en est des paquets détournés de leur usage officiel ces derniers jours.
Notamment concernant la mise à jour des instances PeerTube qui a quelques dépendances passant par npm.
