My ears have gathered the words inspired by those who have seen felt and experienced, of which maybe now be beyond confirmation, nonetheless the message still stands; For the horrors we have yet to know, the horrors we will know, the horrors we will see, the horrors we will be, an arm here, a leg there, a torso a head so many lay dead, no matter the uniform nor flag to be, the blood flows red the stench of death haunts us in our beds, for we were boys not yet men, and of the men they became boys in the fear of certain death, for ideals and nations for people just like us, we marched in mud, water fields and towns, we desecrated time with the most heinous acts all in the name of peace and freedom, for the blood filled our boots, our wounded and dead left forgotten so that we may fight on, bridges churches hospitals and schools, nothing left of society, for wars hunger lingers everywhere, the hate the fear the rage, we fight for our very lives, to die far from home in horrors arms, to kill to stay alive, to kill for a stupid ideal, for all the blood for all the dead, never was an ounce of dignity shed, to profit from the death of man, the powerful the wealthy the hateful, for as we slain each other in patrisms name, death and blood was all the same, to see the world as it is right now to know our loss was never valued, to see our youth destroyed for the world to never know peace, to watch the powerful the wealthy the self important wage more war, for what lesson has been before if we forever we will be at war;
