It is with grave indignation that those gathered around the Christmas tree trimmed with lights and memory, as the fires warm glow and caroling fills the room, that compassion has found it's self dead upon the door step, for with garish flare and fancy fare, those dressed in tails and gowns have trotted all around the town, for not one beggar did they spare, for those disheveled buried in mire will have no Christmas at all, no presents under a dimly lite tree, nor plate of turkey for thee, for all garish affair these people have not an ounce of care, to see the snow so pure and white as it is freezing, for all those who dream to be, the Christmas story is a sad reality, for Santa's cheer will steer clear, for those improvised have no one to hold dear;

Dear Santa,
It would be a #Christmas Miracle, and it could be a reality if #Santa could find a way to help this #disabled man existing in #poverty to raise all the money he needs, to buy property to build his forever home, and fill it with all he will ever need, to have security and stability to have a roof that will be forever mine, to have the space to create and thrive, to have the room to grow and fill my life, to have the hope to not only live but have the means to also help others, if at first the number seems big, when you realize the need and the dream it really is rather small, to have and never need to stand and not fall to my knees, for if by Grace this Christmas be a gift for me to ever be, $5million will set me free, it will be the gift of life to me, if only all the Elf's in Santa's realm could and would join with me, and make this Christmas Wish a reality;

The Sunday before Christmas, the old man drags himself out of a bed that is more torture than comfort and support, the air is damp and chilled, as his classical music plays he scrapes along the floor to prepare his coffee, his lungs have yet to breath this morning, with shaking hands he pours in the water and counts to scoops of grind, after struggling to plug in the percolator he stumbles to the toilet, his bowels howl with discomfort and hunger, barely standing as he looks in the mirror his hair and beard are showing their years, half awake he shuffles back to his bed, he trembles as he reaches to put his socks and pull on his pants, his shoes become a struggle to put upon his feet, he stands and gingerly packs his pipe with scarps of tobacco, his hands shaking he pours a cup of coffee, as he pulls on his coat his body screams in stiffness and pain, as the door opens he steps out into a dark gray morning that is unaware of this old mans despair;
