Time is moving far to erratically to be constantly random, hours are taking mere minutes to escape while minuets are dragging out for days, and months can disappear in a week while years can vanish in a day, the rotations of this wretched rock and its path around its sun, have fallen from harmonic balance, while most have lost the vision of time, a few remain to see how this has become insane;

It was a balmy morning, the old man had another restless night with his body in pain, he drags himself out of a bed of torture, with his classical music playing he stumbles over to prepare his coffee his hands trembling as he pours the water and counts the scoops, nearly without strength he manages to plug the percolator in, shuffling off to the toilet his bowels empty with hunger, his hair and beard a disgusting mess, maybe a shower will help today, he turns on the water and gets in the lukewarm water, he struggles to wash his hair and beard, his body stiff and the water helps not, slowly he soaps himself up and rinses off, having yet to take the first breath of the day, he can handle no more, he shuts off the water grabs the towel and dries off, stepping out he nearly slips and falls catching himself on the fridge, he stumbles and dries out his hair, grabbing the brush it becomes a war against a tangled mess, finally he achieves some resemblance of human, shuffling off to the bed he sits as he struggles to pull on his underwear, his socks and pants, rising to his weary feet he shuffles off to start the laundry, then he pours a cup of coffee, carefully he packs his pipe with scraps of his tobacco, stumbling out the door as the sun begins to rise, the air far to moist and warm for a winters day, as the world begins to rise, not one seems to care for the needs and plight of this old man;
