I *really* don't understand why it is so often women and other groups who have historically been excluded from white, male #opensource communities who are expected to shoulder the work of making Codes of Conduct.
They are excluded, bad-mouthed, ignored and belittled and abused but "Oh yes, here's something you can do: write a Code of Conduct so we can apply for funding".

I was trying to budget an OSP fiber project and got frustrated with how simplistic or expensive most estimators are. Relying on a single "cost-per-foot" average just isn't accurate.
So, I built an open-source estimator in #Flutter to do it right. It uses a bottom-up approach and models the important variables:
- Dig costs broken down by surface type
- Conditional restoration costs
- A power-law model for cable pricing
