The first "beta" release of the next major version of Drawpile, version 2.3.0, will probably be released tomorrow.
There's many new features, one of them is a "Pigment" blend mode, usable for both brushes and layers. It does spectral color mixing, for more realistic, paint-like blending, rather than just averaging the red, blue and green channels.
For example, if you blend together blue and yellow, you get green instead of a muddled gray.

ZDNet: OpenAI returns to its open-source roots with new open-weight AI models, and it’s a big deal. “The company has unveiled two new open-weight language models, gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b, marking the firm’s first public release of freely available AI model weights since GPT-2 in 2019, long before the AI hype took over the tech world.”
