I saw on LiberaPay you can donate to projects not yet on LiberaPay, and donations only go through once the project joins.
uBlock has a statement that they do not accept donations by choice: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Why-don't-you-accept-donations%3F
The dev could create a LiberaPay account today, and start getting 500 euros / month if they wanted.
But, choose not to. Big ups. #opensource

I do care a lot about preventing vendor lock-in and a Free and Open Source software development environment (Git forge). In general, I'm willing to accept some inconvenience for having freedom.
I would applaud it if Organic Maps moved to @Codeberg
In this way the Free and Open Source Software development ecosystem would be strengthened.
