Resulta que una empresa se ha interesado por #CheckNif , el servicio para validar NIFs contra la AEAT que hemos creado, y el otro día tuvimos una reunión para explicarles en qué consiste, cómo usarlo, etc
Para nosotros había una cosa clara desde el principio: **debía** ser #OpenSource , cualquier persona o empresa interesada podría descargarlo y usarlo sin coste, royalties, licencias, ni mandangas. Free As Beer
y tal cual se lo comenté en la reunión:
el proyecto está publicado, podéis descargarlo y usarlo como queráis. Nosotros lo que ofrecemos es un servicio en el que ya está funcionando, simplemente le llamas al API Rest y chimpón
a nosotros lo que nos interesa es ofrecer servicios (de calidad) y ayudaros en lo que veáis que podemos aportar
Todavía es pronto para saber si CheckNif es lo que necesitan, si usarán el código OpenSource o si finalmente nos contratarán el servicio, pero una cosa tengo clara:
mi amigo tiene razón

Drama over in #GZDoom land. The dev team have gotten fed up of the project lead Graf Zahl (Christoph Oelckers) and his shenanigans (pushing untested code, using LLMs). Looks like a fork is happening (UZDoom)
It's a shame 'cos they just celebrated 20 years of the project this summer, but the beauty of Free software is the ability of a project to split away from this sort of thing.
