Why not Aliases?
An alias can’t prompt for a dynamic IP, it can’t encrypt your API keys, and it definitely can’t manage 500+ snippets
with fuzzy search. XC isn't an alias replacement. It’s the upgrade for when your workflow outgrows a .zshrc file.

Cal.com closed its source citing AI scanners. Mozilla shipped Thunderbolt (self-hosted AI client) the same week. One company sees AI as a reason to close, the other as a reason to build more open tools. "AI made us do it" is the new "market conditions."
