NGINX 1.30 released April 14 as the new stable branch. Headlines: Encrypted Client Hello, HTTP 103 Early Hints, Multipath TCP, HTTP/2 to backends. Buried in the same changelog: the default proxy HTTP version flips from 1.0 to 1.1 with Keep-Alive on. That reverses a decade of default behavior older upstreams rely on. The dangerous changes in a stable release rarely sit in the press release. They sit in defaults that fail against undocumented upstreams.
