Ich benutze einige OpenSource Dienste.
U.a. #matrix als Messenger 
Gestern Abend gab es dazu ein wichtiges Server-Update, um Sicherheitslücken zu schließen. Auch die zu benutzenden Apps (ElementX, FlufyfChat, etc) müssen dazu aktuell sein.
@ossrox, bei denen mein Server läuft, hat schon einige Minuten nach der Bereitstellung die Server geupdatet und mich per eMail informiert.

Since I don't feel like running a Matrix instance any longer: Does anyone have experience with SimpleX chat yet? Like, how stable is messaging, calls, etc., how is the overall UX? Maybe anyone even experience with running an own server? Is this a serious contender in distributed, private IM?

@QuadRadical exactly, if what one is using matrix is for public groups, Delta Chat is not for that, we are working on adding channels ( #telegram style) support, tho, and if it is for a closed community ex. people that meet in a physical place, is also good, but not for a community open to random people in the internet like a support group for some project, #matrix and #xmpp are both not good IMHO but there isn't anything better out there right now
