Käytän ensisijaisesti Signaalia lähipiirin kanssa viestimiseen, mutta sen kaverina minulla on ollut myös Matrix. Vaikka sille on pientä käyttöä jo nyt, se on ollut enemmän eräänlainen B-suunnitelma.
Signalin ja Matrixin merkittävin ero lienee siinä, että Signal on keskitetty ja Matrix hajautettu. Olen käyttänyt pidempään matrix.org instanssia, mutta viikonloppuna päätin viritellä ihan oman matrix-instanssin.
Jos Signaalin suunnalla kakka osuu joskus tuulettimeen, onpahan ainakin seuraava viestintäkanava valmiina. Ja se ei ole (ainakaan palvelinten osalta) riippuvainen yhdestäkään yrityksestä tai yhdistyksestä ☺️

Kein Plan, warum sich viele für Element X entscheiden, wenn es doch so reduziert ist. Ich nutze das normale #Element Classic als App, welches (fast)* alle Features von #Matrix abbildet. Einige meinen wohl, es wäre träge, aber das kann ich nicht bestätigen. 🤷 *bis auf Bildunterschriften.

'80s VR: Vast empty Game Grid with grid lines. We'd go racing our light cycles out past the edge of the world.
'90s VR: Confusing mess of phong-shaded polygons, vaguely realistic but mud-colored because 256-color palette.
'00s VR: Fucking Matrix, Half-Life, or CoD, shitty bump-mapped ground, too many guns.
'10s-20s VR: Minecraft. Back to the grid but with cheesy textures.
