#Mastodon instance admins can customize the appearance of their web interface using custom CSS. However, the vast majority of admins do nothing with this and leave it at default.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with leaving it at default but there’s also nothing that visually sets it apart from other instances.
This is why I’ve spent the last 2 years tweaking the appearance of Retro Gaiden. Hundreds of lines of custom CSS applied and now it looks unlike any other instance on the #Fediverse.

The only thing preventing me from launching Mastodon.bd is storage cost. I wanted to use Backblaze B2 but they charge for API calls. Which might become quite expensive as the server grows. After all I'm a student :) ..
Anyway, what's your suggestion? Any guidance would be appreciated.
