Weird. Open using official #Mastodon client, and it says there are "39 notifications from people you might know".
This is missing from advanced web client. Have only ever seen anything like this when receiving a notification of a reply, and haven't seen that in a month or more. There seems to be no way to get to this list from advanced web client.
Meanwhile, on official client, clicking on any of the users revealed on this list as having notifications doesn't actually load anything. Just spins.

@WestFox35 my goal was to run the server on a tiny vps: 1 vcore / 1GB ram / 10GB disk space.
#snac was small enough but I didn't manage to get it working as desired. #Mastodon has too many dependencies and is the opposite of compact. #Akkoma gives me an otp with everything bundled and ready to run.
That's basically how I settled with #Akkoma.

Now that I have self-hosted Forgejo actions building this blog and transferring it to the host, almost everything is great. The one pebble in the shoe of my transition has been the tags.
I refactored them recently to take out the spaces and wordcase them in both views and pages to make it more friendly to pushing to the fediverse. The only problem with that is that in the process of Bridge Fed ... bridging to the fed all the tags would get congolomerated into one great big concatenated mess. I have been lamenting this.
Tonight I really dug down into my Eleventy templates. I realized that the "p-category" class was assigned to a div and that div wrapped all the tags. It was not being assigned one by one but only one was assigned and it encompassed all of them. So maybe garbage in garbage out?
I wrapped each individual tag with a span and gave each a "p-category" class. This is the first post being pushed since that change. If you see this on Mastodon or other fediverse clients and it has a bunch of individual tags, then succcess. If not, then I guess I will just start pulling my hair out.

How can that be, when (as I and many other naturists can say from our own painful experience) Meta deletes posts or even accounts if you post non-sexual naturist images?

Nearly 1 in 5 users aged 13 to 15 told Meta that they saw “nudity or sexual images on Instagram” that they didn’t want to view, according to a court filing.
The document, made public on Friday as part of a federal lawsuit in California and reviewed by Reuters, includes portions of a March 2025 deposition of Instagram head Adam Mosseri.
In another document made public as part of the lawsuit, a Meta researcher recommends the company focus on teen users because they are "catalysts" for their households and influence how their younger siblings and parents use the app. The document is dated January 20, 2021.
"If we're looking to acquire (and retain) new users we need to recognize a teen's influence within the household to help do so," the researcher said in the memo.
Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is facing allegations from global leaders that the company's products harm young users. In the U.S., thousands of lawsuits in federal and state court accuse the company of designing addictive products and fueling a mental-health crisis for minors...
