He visto la guía de migración de #Bluesky a #Eurosky y ahora estoy flipando aún más que consideren #Mastodon complicado. Tremendo pifostio para cambiar de instancia. Y sigue sin quedarme claro que el AppView (la gran “manguera” del protocolo AT) siga siendo la misma o no teniendo en cuenta la inmensa pasta y recursos que consume. No sé, todo mal.

An interesting issue on the Github repo of Mastodon : https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/37881 What should be the size limit for an alt text on an image?
The current limit of 1500 chars is fine by me, as an alternative text should stay short. If a long description is needed, it can always been done in the toot or a thread of toots.
Isn't there a risk of encouraging very long alt texts by increasing this limit?
What do you think?

Btw. has there been a change in how Mastodon handles quote-toots when the quoted toot comes from a limited instance?
E.g. my instance limits mastodon.social, and all quotes from that instance end up in eternal "quote waiting to be approved".
