#Mastodon has an interesting part in their #Documentation. It is about running an #OnionService for it. Just for testing it out, I have set up an onion service for my instance, to learn more about it. It is likely that I'll take that down at some point, as it's not necessary and funnelling such traffic through #tor will just add unnecessary load onto the network, but I found the idea cool, so I experimented around a bit.

Es gibt ja seit einigen Tagen wieder diese #Spam bzw. #Phishing Welle mit diesen angeblichen #Mastodon Moderatoren Accounts die andere auffordern auf irgendeinen Link zur Verifikation zu klicken.
Irgendwie fällt mir auf, dass sehr oft die gleichen Instanzen dafür missbraucht werden. Vielleicht wäre es nicht schlecht, wenn diese Instanzen ihre Registrierung von "offen" auf "Freischaltung" umstellen würden? Zumindest für eine gewisse Zeit. Somit könnte man einen großen Teil solcher Accounts schon von Beginn an eliminieren.
