The official Mastodon app for android is upsetting me with UI choices again.
Now the boost button gives a pop-up with options to boost or quote, but quoting is never enabled. So extra clicks to boost, which should be the most basic function here.

I'd like to mention that we have a couple of studies on the usability of #mastodon, from the point of view of cognitive ergonomics (use of icons, colors, button placement, etc.). I wonder if they would be of interest to programmers. Does anyone know who I can send them to?

i was not a social media fan & only joined bsky bc i heard that's were the resistance is. it's not. just blue twitter. people chasing likes & followers
whebn i got booted from bsky for over-celebrating CK's death, i joined #Mastodon . i have much more interaction here than i had on bsky, even w/o the followers i lost & none here, still more engagement
but i'm still trying to get bsky to give me back all my stuff. make sure you get your stuff before you leave. they won't give mine back

Trying to use #Mastodon more. One thing that makes it feel too quiet here is the lower information density in the mobile website. BSky and Twitter fit 3 posts in the space Mstdn fits only 1-2, and that's not just that the posts here are longer (but imho they are too long, too).
