Alt txt on mastodon.social
I no longer write alt txt on my images, it is too tiring and I am yet to find an AI tool that works well. As a disabled person myself, I am all for inclusion, which I support actively on my profile positively (and I don't see many able people doing it). I read on someone's profile with vision impairment that it was ok to put something in the alt txt. Maybe i misunderstood? I write the licensing these days and/or if it is AI generated (as per #mastodon rules).

Translation on #Mastodon.
This is 2nd time in 1 week that someone tells me that my profile is set to "EN" (I speak mainly in English online), and their translator, on their client, do not work when I write in French on my profile.
Personnally, I do not use the "translate" feature (not sure if these users talked about that one). If I do not speak the language a toot is written in, I tend to think that if someone writes in a language that I do not speak, it is probably not addressed to me.

@jbz Yeah this is a good point about #IBM and counting people for #genocide that I think they used with #machines or #computers?
All tech is used against us, no matter how it's about #Cats and fun pictures too - the programmers and coders behind a lot are not doing the people work or caring for interacting with people (so you get Mastodon etc void of much social and just good for spreadnig #caturday pics and bad news... a real problem if not doing the positives...
So not doing the people-improvement / #trust building / real social interaction to get better ourselves... is not happening (where is it?)
(and not wait for rich people or spread their #shit using #Mastodon either).

Salut #mastodon est ce qu'il existe des roms alternatives permettant d'isoler les applications entre elles ?
L'objectif serait de ne pas leur laisser accéder par exemple aux contacts, à l'agenda, au numéro de téléphone en faisant semblant de leur donner cet accès, mais aussi les applications bancaires ou autres (puisque beaucoup le réclament!)

Oye, entiendo lo del control, pero Mastodon es de código abierto, no como otras plataformas. JavaScript o apps nativas son para que todo funcione bien, no para rastrearte. La libertad sigue siendo suya.

Anyone else having the keyboard obscure the text panel when adding alt-text or editing a toot? Screen grab shows an example. This is a recent change in behaviour, not sure of it's origins.
I'm using an Android phone & the Samsung UI has been updated in the past week.
