Genuinely miss #philosophy #twitter circa 2017-2019. Don't think I've ever experienced a #socialmedia community like it. Was hoping to find some semblance of it on #mastodon, but I've been here for almost a year, and it still feels kind of feels like I'm screaming into a void.

Been following lots of people here, joining conversations where it makes sense, but feels very ad hoc and kind of like I'm intruding in some cases. Idk if this is just what it's like here or if I'm overthinking things.

Time for a warning:

I was on a small one-person server. I had >1,000 followers and a pile of people I was following.

Then I said something that offended someone and I was suspended. I appealed…and it’s been crickets since. So I just lost that account and more importantly, all those people.

Now I’m on a server run by an organisation…

Mein Versuch, auf fb einen fb-freund zu fragen,
ob er auch woanders ist zB bei #mastodon
wird offensichtlich systematisch unterbunden / von fb sabotiert:

Die Ur-Frage, die nur Andeutungen enthielt ("Netzwerk, das den Orangen nicht unterstützt") wurde noch angezeigt.

Ich erhielt adhoc Benachrichtigung "xy hat geantwortet: Meinst Du ..."

Ich kann keine (!) der Antworten öffnen, sie werden nicht angezeigt.

Jetzt lösen Kommentarversuche darunter sich in Lauf auf: Posten und - puff! Weg.

Natürlich muss man etwas #Geduld mit #Mastodon haben, weil man nicht auf #Reichweiten wie bei #Xitter oder #WhatsApp kommt. Allerdings werden die #Posts weltweit gelesen, aber man muss natürlich auch #Follower generieren, ansonsten ist es eher #unidirektional, wie eine #Zeitung halt. Mir sind allerdings solche #Follower-Zahlen, wie 16,5K völlig schleierhaft, wie man die hier zusammenkriegt. Sind das "#Fans" aus #Twitter-Zeiten ?
