…and considering options 😔 . Even if your #FOSS project is not using this #AI feature, I'm actually training Crowdin's AI.
I respect all choices taken by #Mastodon, #Bookwyrm, #Castopod, etc. , projects I have translated and kept updated, but I need to feel that I'm contributing to the commons not crowdin's shareholders.
Yes, this is not a new feature there, I've been thinking on this topic for long time (since I deleted my Transifex account actually). My current stand now is that I'm done with all this voluntary translating work that felt great at the time. No longer.
I will try to focus on weblate instances I'm registered at and forget mastodon's apps and websites, etc. Yes, that sounds affordable and healthier in the long term. It's gonna be tough, there's an emotional connection here.

Why can't #mastodon insist on LONG POST warnings, or shrink posts that go over a certain limit, so ppl can't impose their (often) bloated opinions on the rest of us.
Then if we see a post that looks interesting we can expand it, rather having to spend 30 seconds scrolling down just to get to the end of it.
It gets quite annoying.
And yes, this is definately a first world rant, but at least it's a short one.
