#mastodon admins who backup their databases with pg_dump, what settings do you use? can you skip certain tables? or should i be using WAL stuff?
i just want my snapshot once a day or once a week, which i'll then rsync off the machine to my PC in case of serious disk crash etc. and i want the db dump process not to take forever or to wreck the live mastodon server while it's happening #hosting #admin

Suppose I am writing a reply in a thread with more than one user.
In my toot Mastodon will tag the user I an replying to and the other ones by default.
If I an replying to only the first user, should I remove the other tags?
Or should I include them at the end of my message?

#Bluesky had major outages yesterday. It was inaccessible several times during the day, and even when it came back, posts and profiles loaded extremely slowly: 🌍 mashable.com/article/blue... Glad to have a backup profile on #Mastodon I guess ✌️

@Keptnqui wichtig ist hier immer auf #mastodon einfach hashtags zu nutzen das schickt dein post auf die anderen Instanzen. Und teilen ist hier auch sehr wichtig. Es gibt kein Algo hier wie bei den anderen Netzwerken. ☺️👍🏼
