When I recently migrated instances I learned hashtags were not moved as part of the process which ended up being a tedious en-devour.
To help others in the future I tossed together a web app that will let you copy hashtags from one server to another.
There's no code that will remove or delete tags so those still have to be manually managed in your instance, but hopefully this saves someone the headache one day down the road as they move instances.

@Elilol yes! fedi is fantastic :3 i also encourage you if you haven't already to look into some of the other types of #fediverse servers out there. some i can recommend for #nsfw posting:
- #Mastodon: of course i have to rep my home server girlcock.club, but kinkycats.org also seems to be pretty popular
- #Misskey and its forks: Misskey is really neat, a bit more featureful than Mastodon. desperatesluts.online runs a slightly modified version of #Sharkey, a popular Misskey fork.

In fact, #mastodon is already pretty decentralized and corporations free.
#meshcore has room nodes, but their memory storage is limited to few dozens of messages.

#mastodon tip: there are folks you like to follow, but now and then they go off the rails (hey, we all do it, sometimes!) So...
▪ if someone is infodumping, you can mute their toots for a day or an hour.
▪ if they are using a hashtag for an event or topic, you can block that hashtag.
▪ if someone is boosting sh**, you can block their boosts and only see their original toots.
This way you stay connected, and your timeline or list goes back to being reasonable!
