#fedihelp Recently the Mastodon web app started to do something silly.
Suppose I have scrolled down into older posts of my timeline. Now, when I switch to some other browser tab and back, the app scrolls all the way back to the top of the page.
This is extremely annoying. I checked the settings, but could not find anything related. Anyone know if it is a web app thing or stupid browser behavior?

Why would I get a filtered notification? I mean, I get the concept - I think. Someone blocked that person or their server somewhere along the line. But I don't know who it was, or why it was done. Or whether or not I can decide if that person should or shouldn't be filtered from being seen by me.
More and more, I want democracy. Not some mysterious people or companies making unaccountable decisions. At least I know that something's going on this time; I presume on Facebook or Reddit, I'd never even know. But I want transparency AND A VOICE IN DECISIONS!
I think that's the least that any of us should expect.

This is probably a stupid question.
I'm pretty good with kolektiva so far. Apart from one or two really rude people, it's been a good place for me. But it does lack some features that other servers seem to have. Text formatting, for example. It doesn't seem to be an option here in any way that I know of. Or maybe the problem is the interfaces I'm using, but one is on a desktop and the other is an app on my phone. So I don't think it's that.
Should I consider starting a second Mastodon account on a different server? One that has more features? Would that be inappropriate?
As I understand it, I can't actually merge two or more Mastodon accounts together except by literally declaring on each that I am posting to both. Sort of making it official. But it would still seem kind of...I don't know, confusing.
I also have been trying to keep this account as clear of my real-world identity and other online identities as possible. I want to be able to talk without having to worry about anyone standing over my shoulder and possibly dragging me away or canceling me.
Does this all make any sense? I appreciate anyone's thoughts on this topic. Thanks!
