I think the recently-added #Mastodon quote posts are bullshit. Constantly see "Post pending" on them as the system waits for approval. Bullshit. If Reply won't do, just put a link to the orig post you're speaking about in your new post. This is a classic solution to a non-problem situation.

Currently, I use #AI to generate #altText for my photos.
It is quick. It is easy.
It is lazy.
TBH I feel sorry for those who rely on alt text and now have to put up with the generic, bland, cookie-cutter and sometimes BS descriptions that AI is proliferating.
Note to self: don’t use AI to generate alt text.

Je me désabonne de pleins de gens ne le prenez pas mal j'essaye de réorganiser un peu mes timelines.
J'aimerais avoir plutôt ici des gens que je connais ou qui vivent pas loin de chez moi, je suis plus facilement touché par leurs enjeux.
Le truc chiant c'est que #Mastodon ne permet pas facilement de voir qui on a muté du coup c'est un peu vache on peut pas faire des filtres temporaires gérables selon l'humeur.
Reste à jouer avec plusieurs comptes pour avoir plusieurs univers de lecture.

Pump.io, Identi.ca, Diaspora, Friendica, GNU social, Hubzilla... Nigdzie nie spotkałem się z taką cenzurą na jak na Mastodonie. Administratorzy wszystkich otwartych sieci społecznościowych przed Mastodonem usuwali tylko wpisy ewidentnie niezgodne z prawem. I takie podejście mi odpowiada.
Na Mastodonie administratorzy i moderatorzy usuwają treści które nie są niezgodne z prawem, ale są niezgodne z ich poglądami politycznymi, przez co tworzą kółka wzajemnej adoracji (echo chambers), co do których wiadomo, że są szkodliwe -- wzmacniają polaryzację i radykalizację poglądów.
Może czas poszukać nie tyle innej instancji, co racjonalnie działającej sieci społecznościowej. #Mastodon #Diaspora #GNUsocial

War Twitter vor dem Kauf durch Elon Musk einigermaßen erträglich, wurde es danach immer schlimmer und schlimmer. Zuerst schaffte Twitter/X die API-Schnittstelle ab.
