If you want to add more security to your Mastodon account, you can set up a system called "two factor authentication" (also known as 2FA). This prevents anyone else logging into your account even if they find out your email and password.
2FA works using a special app on your phone which gives you a short code number to type in when you log in.

It’s so weird, even though Mastodon is so much smaller than other social media it doesn’t feel like I’m yelling into the void when I’m posting something. I get so many reactions to stuff I post. Bluesky just feels weird when no one is using hashtags.

I used to work for a guy, doing #DevOps, who would often remind us that if we did a good job automating and documenting all the things, we could then "sit around and watch #cat videos."
