On the mastodon web UI, does anyone know how to get rid of the horrible, distracting swirling circle animation that appears whenever you open a post (to show that it's checking for more replies)?
I'm OK with it checking I guess, but that thing drives me nuts. I can't find any setting to turn off checking for more replies and the "reduce motion in animations" setting (which I already had turned on) does nothing to stop it.
I don't have a github (or whatever) account to report it as a bug or request. Has anyone reported this as an issue yet?
I can't be the only one who has a problem with it (this is mastodon after all!). I noticed it immediately after the feature was added and I'm pretty sure I posted complaint toot about it that got no reactions. Just wondering if anything has changed since then.

Hopelijk draait vanavond mastodon.nl eens een avondje zonder problemen. Gister (vrijdag)avond gaf de site rond kwart voor tien opeens geen sjoege meer. Dat duurde al met al zeker een uur voordat er weer wat leven in kwam.
