Can we please get rid of those "you are leaving $website" pages? They go against the whole idea of the hyperlinked web.

Especially in the Mastodon web UI, when I open a post that just happens to be on another server. But Youtube and Steam are also among those annoying sites that completely miss the point of the www.

If you really must, use target="_blank", while that is also bad design (leaving tons of open but unused tabs), it's not half as annoying as getting a psge informing me that I clicked a link every time I click a link.
