This is weird, sorry.
I used to have Twitter and Facebook at the very least. And several groups on Facebook as well.
Now I have #Mastodon, and that is it, deliberately. I have a lot of people I follow, it works, it has news, it had jokes, it have interesting posts.
People follow me, and react to my posts.
But it almost seems weird having only one platform to play with!
It is also weird to not have any family, or locals, on it, and hard to create that, yet!

What's a good way to shrink large hi-res #photos so they can be posted directly on #Mastodon, I have the full Adobe Photography Suite, Topaz, and whatever comes with Win 11. Yes, I have tried hosting the photo elsewhere and posting the link. Those posts get almost zero visibility. #photography #fediverse #tools

Sur #Mastodon, n'oubliez pas que vous n'êtes pas obligé·e de subir l'actualité ou certains sujets.
Vous pouvez créer des filtres pour des groupes de mots comme "USA", "Trump" ou "Epstein".
Vous pouvez alors:
- masquer *totalement* l'affichage des pouets contenant ces mots, ou juste les masquer derrière un avertissement.
- en faire des filtres définitifs ou pour une période donnée (quelques heures, quelques jours ou plus).
Filtrer pour ne pas être noyé, c'est prendre soin de soi.

True story: my iPad (latest ver 26) - which regularly astounds me as to its ineptitude - would only save 2 of the 4 Superb #Owls recently posted this weekend on #Mastodon. It refused silently, to save the latter two in **exactly the same way** as the first two. I tried twice to save them. It gave no error message, but the owls weren't saved! So I shared the owls directly from #IceCubes into #Deltachat. Yes, that was allowed. So then all 4 could be shared onwards to a friend in #Signal.
No, my #iPad's disk is far from full, as I save very little into the walled garden. It's crazy, I tell you.
Note: I exfil everything - in bulk - periodically into #Copyparty, BTW.
The first two owls are OK on the iPad, but not the second two!
