Пытаюсь навиброкодить #userscript, который будет скрывать из ленты просмотренные посты, черновой вариант есть, но не могу понять/решить, как по-элегантнее присваивать посту атрибут потраченопросмотрено: как формалинизировать тот факт, что пост «был на экране», допустим, более 2 секунд, если лента думскроллится в произвольном направлении, чтобы не было ложных срабатываний для частично попавших на экран (сверху или снизу)?

Mastodon's web interface has a special optional "advanced mode", which is designed for people on computers who want to view several timelines at once. Here's a complete guide to using it including how to switch it on and how to add columns:

You can use it to have dedicated columns for timelines, accounts, hashtags, lists, bookmarks, favourites, DMs etc.
(If you used to use Twitter, it looks quite similar to the Tweetdeck interface.)

@maddy I've used #Mastodon / the #Fediverse for over 8 years, many instances, some other activitypub projects and while i agree there are benefits to smaller instances, not all actually are the best fit for everyone.
This current profile of mine was created when leaving #Bluesky where i posted well over 1K songs with info / purchase links.

* brand new accounts on major instances
* short, uplifting bios. Usually happiness, wellness, or related crap
* few or no followers
* no content
