I posted about the Claude Code leak on LinkedIn and almost immediately someone attacked me about my criticism. They tried the "take a look at COBOL and get back to me" angle.
Buddy. I've written COBOL. I spent several years working almost daily with a 3-million-line monstrosity of a COBOL program. I was working on another app that interfaced with it, but in that work I occasionally had to read the code and in a few cases modify it. Granted I haven't spent as much time looking at the leaked Claude Code source code (and won't lol), but nevertheless I confidently declare that Claude Code is worse. "Spaghetti code" doesn't come close to describing this thing.

Ich bin Zip-süchtig¹ bei LinkedIn. Manchmal frage ich mich, was meine Kollegen so an räumlichen Vorstellungsvermögen haben, dass sie im Schnitt solch schlechte Ergebnisse produzieren. :-)
Oder es liegt daran, dass ich Urlaub habe.

In this PostCast episode Omar and myself figure out how to save the LinkedIn API token. Previously we saved the LinkedIn API ClientID and ClientSecret, which we knew was incorrect, but we just wanted to get something working. Now we correctly save the token, which is what should be saved.
*PostCast is just a place holder name and might change. The goofy PostCast placeholder image was generated by ChatGPT and will likely change.

Si c'est le ças, j'ai le regret de vous dire que votre passeport, pièce d'identité et données biométriques sont désormais enregistrés chez 'Persona Identities', une boîte créée par #PeterThiel, qui a déjà été croisée avec de nombreuses bases de données du gouvt #US. Ces données sont partagées avec toutes les autorités US à leur demande.

Have you had your identity verified on LinkedIn to get the blue tick? If so, I’m afraid I have to tell you that your passport, ID and biometric data are now stored with ‘Persona Identities’, a company funded by Peter Thiel, which has already been cross-referenced with numerous US government databases. This data is shared with any US authorities at their discretion.
