Each time on #Instagram I complain about it I've decided that I'll promote #Pixelfed instead of #Mastodon because it's a more suitable alternative to Instagram.
Granted, Pixelfed doesn't have anything like Instagram Reels or something TikTok-like and I worry that might make them hesitant to switch over, but I think that's perfectly fine for me as-is because I think we can all take a break from that kind of content or so.
Anyways, we'll see how it goes. I might've gotten one of my friends interested, though no definitive sign ups right now. If you have any tips about how to get people to switch over, please let me know! If I can get a good portion of my friends to switch over then that'll be great! Keep in mind though that my friends aren't technical at all, so it may be even harder, but I'm up for the challenge! 😄

It's really ironic that, as a photographer, that I'm now starting to use #TikTok more than #Instagram.
Whilst Instagram is insistent on pushing reels, TikTok has turned the tables on Instagram and is now saying photos get more views.
