Today, #instagram started showing "ad breaks" - where scrolling pauses for a moment as you approach an ad block, keeping the ad on the screen for a few seconds. Instagram was the last social media platform I was still using. This is a total disaster.

Had to remove the latest #Instagram. I seldom use it so I jump versions (e.g. by two years). The latest was awful. Each time you ran it, it would ask you to activate Google services. Not going to happen, and totally unnecessary, considering the “app” runs perfectly without Google. Always has. In fact, still does.
This program peaked around 2018, when it removed the map, then some of the better filters, so by the turn of the decade, it was sorely lacking. I see there were no improvements since.
