Meta will be removing the end-to-end encryption option from Instagram DMs, due to "low adoption." Since it was set up as opt-in rather than opt-out, that feels to me like it was designed to have low adoption.
Yet another piece of encouragement to stay as far away from Meta products as possible.

Ayer valoraba positivamente un movimiento de Meta (WhatsApp para preadolescentes) y hoy toca volver a la normalidad: criticarla por ser la avanzadilla de la mierdificación. Ya lo hicieron en el 2023 proponiendo una suscripción de pago para no ver publicidad y evitar que comercien con nuestras cookies, algo que luego siguieron la mayoría de medios de comunicación españoles.
Ahora nos vienen con un modo «cotilla» de pago que nos permitirá ver historias ajenas sin que quede registrada la visita. E igual que en el anterior caso, no se inventa nada nuevo porque LinkedIn ya hacía esa sinvergonzonería para tentar a sus usuarios con la suscripción… el problema es que Instagram tiene la capacidad de crear una corriente a la que se unan otras redes sociales comerciales. ¿Necesitamos más razones para irnos de ahí?
