I actually find the concept of ghost posts amazing. It's a slight modification of Instagram Notes, but I still find the name and the concept cool.
I'm planning @pitha should have something like this, maybe I'll do that. Dotting this down to the notebook to revisit later.

Threads is pretty much like a dead town square, which tries to use it's bigger brother Instagram, the actual town square, to funnel users toward it.
What pisses me off even more is the fact that you MUST have an Instagram account to pair with your Threads accounts, otherwise it just isn't possible.

Tre giorni fa gli account Instagram di RTL 102.5 e Radio Deejay sono stati cancellati contemporaneamente. Dopo 48 ore il profilo di Deejay è tornato operativo e con una punta di ironia i social media manager hanno elencato le motivazioni del blocco: “Avremmo preferito presentarvi la redazione social di Radio Deejay in un momento meno critico, ma va bene lo stesso. Come mai siamo stati assenti? Opzione 1) Ci hanno bloccato il profilo Opzione 2) Ci siamo presi 48h di riposo Opzione 3) Digei Angelo ci ha hackerato Opzione 4) Qualcuno si è dimenticato la password. Vi siamo mancati?”.
Non è ancora risolto, invece, il problema di RTL 102.5 che, con una nota che riceviamo e pubblichiamo, specifica: “In questi giorni, come sempre, potete informarvi in modo affidabile e credibile anche su tutti i social di RTL 102.5, ma non su Instagram. Il nostro profilo infatti è stato improvvisamente sospeso da Meta e, dopo diversi accertamenti, abbiamo motivo di credere che RTL 102.5 sia vittima di un comportamento non corretto di terzi e abusivo. Stiamo prendendo provvedimenti per tornare al più presto”.

The problem with RTL 102.5, however, remains unresolved, which, with a note that we receive and publish, specifies: “In these days, as always, you can get reliable and credible information on all of RTL 102.5’s social media, but not on Instagram. Using Threads was a trial for me, to see whether it's just an echo chamber of Instagram users or actually any kind of presence exists there from the Fediverse.
I am sorry to confirm that the former is indeed true.

Went to a cocktail bar last night fully intending to order a cocktail.
Bartender: "We don't have a physical menu. You have to check us out on #Instagram to get the cocktail list."
I find them on Instagram only to discover that it's impossible to see their menu there when not logged in.
I. Don't. Have. An. Instagram. Account.
Me: "Yeah, I'll have a small beer, thanks." (at less than quarter of the price of a cocktail)
