Git: Consultazione della Cronologia dei Commit
Ispezionare in dettaglio l’evoluzione di un progetto con git log

#git sucks. For every basic action, a bit more advanced than clone/commit/push, pet has to look into the documentation or use a search engine to find out all those tricks and special chars like ^
Pet does not trust git developers because of their way of thinking. Sadly, the same humans participate in #linux kernel development.
#mercurial is more pet friendly. Pet types commands almost intuitively and they run as expected. That's a real magic.
The next task is to move from #github
If #git makes #Rust mandatory it will block future git versions to be ported to our niche platform. While this would not immediately lock us out of repos (the current version will likely continue to work fine some time) it eventually would complicate access (all git work would need to be circulated via some proxy setups or similar).
Needless to say I'm not thrilled by this idea.
I am not against Rust. I am against breaking change that leaves everyone not embracing Rust behind.

Wow, just realized today that it's possible (and easy) to work with several #git remotes for the same repository! Developing on a fork just got a _lot_ easier... #til
#Git is a phenomenal tool! It's a distributed revision control system that seems to break every one of the Fallacies of Distributed Programming (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacies_of_distributed_computing).
For example, if you try to clone a repository and your net conks out when you're 95% of the way, you start over from scratch. This is *really* great behaviour for a distributed tool!

Today, I installed Git via Homebrew, connected my local repository to my GitHub account, and set some aliases in my .zshrc file. It was a pretty interesting process, and I learned a lot. I don't think I can remember all of this right away, but I did it myself, which took time and effort, and I believe that experience will stay with me in some way. It was fun! :)
