Do you #pgp-sign your #git commits with a #yubikey?

I find annoying to touch the sensor for each commit when rebasing my branches...

To anyone working on #git I would like to offer my thanks for an amazing piece of free software. I use it for the traditional plain-text software version control, trouble-free maintenance of over 70k lines of a massive solo #Python project that's occupied the last two years of my life. But not just that: Also binary files, in various repos many gigabytes in size. And word processor files, too.

Git just works, flawlessly, every damn day. On my own local machines, with lots of backups. (Not involving Micro$oft at all.) Thank you.

Many people in the opensource community are all about it, they love and live the opensource nature. But despite that; they still host their work on Github, a proprietary bloated (.e.g Co-Pilot) platform owned by Microsoft, a cooperation that does not reflect the values of the majority in the community (or any). I think that is what you call irony ✨🫠

Their are already better alternatives out there (No, I'm not talking about Gitlab, it's not really better than Github).

E.g.:

I would really encourage everyone who currently uses Github or Gitlab to check out the mentioned alternatives and see if they fit your needs :)

Please don't upload my code on GitHub

This is a call to free/libre and open source software developers to not upload the work of others to GitHub.

josemigt.dev/posts/usando-bare

Also migrated my `mvdate` package to Codeberg, moved docs to mkdocs and hosted them on readthedocs.org

Need to release to PyPI on the off chance someone might find it useful.

Again thanks to those who write and maintain the tools and infrastructure that make it all possible

Minor version bump (v0.1.6) of my Python package tcx2gpx which addresses a bug if the date of GPX points contained white space.

This also sees my codebase migrate to Codeberg with docs migrated from Sphinx to Mkdocs and hosted on ReadTheDocs

pypi.org/project/tcx2gpx/
codeberg.org/slackline/tcx2gpx
tcx2gpx.readthedocs.io/en/late

Thanks to all those who write the tools I use daily (Git, Emacs, Magit hell GNU/Linux!) and make this all possible.
