I would kind of like to migrate a Mercurial repository to #Git, but I have one little problem.
Mercurial commit hashes are mentioned in the messages on subsequent commits, bug tracker discussions, and I think a few times in source code comments.
Rewriting all of them is going to be…interesting.
I don't suppose Git supports mapping commit hashes, such that the old commit hashes will remain valid after the migration?
